"WingEarth Application Example" Automatically recognizes clusters of point clouds such as utility poles on the road individually, achieving a significant reduction in work time. *Application example collection available.
Until now, the removal of utility poles has been implemented from the perspectives of improving disaster resilience, ensuring safety and comfort, and maintaining good scenery. However, in recent years, the need for this has increased due to the intensification and frequency of disasters, the increase in elderly and disabled individuals, and the growing demand for tourism, including foreign visitors to Japan.
By introducing the large-scale point cloud editing tool "WingEarth," it has become possible to automatically recognize individual objects in point clouds of utility poles and similar structures on roads. Sorting and extraction can be performed, such as separating point clouds by type of object, and deletion can be completed with just one click. As a result, unnecessary obstacle removal can be carried out quickly and easily, significantly reducing work time.
